Red Bulls tie with Crew for Eastern Conference lead
The win, puts the Red Bulls (7-5-0) at tie for first place in the Eastern Conference with the Columbus Crew. New York now goes on a much needed three week World Cup break with great momentum and a positive attitude after snapping a four-game losing streak. Chivas USA (3-8-1) remains in last place of the Western Conference. Both teams are now off until June 26, when New York travels to Kansas City, and Chivas USA hosts FC Dallas. HARRISON, N.J.- A well placed low shot from about 30 yards by New York's midfielder Seth Stammler awarded a second consecutive win to the New York Red Bulls 1-0 over Chivas USA in front of 18,815 fans Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.
