UPDATE: In an about-face from earlier this month, Harrison Mayor Raymond McDonough said he is throwing his hat back into the ring for this November's mayoral race.

Harrison Mayor Raymond J. McDonoughMayor Raymond J. McDonough announced last week that he will not seek re-election this year, a move that will ensure the town will have only its third mayor in the last 60 years.

"I've put so many hours into this. I've been married to the town the last 15 years as mayor," McDonough said.

McDonough said he has not endorsed a possible successor.
