RBA to host Czech/Turkey friendly

International Friendly to be played Saturday, May 22

Reds Bull ArenaSECAUCUS, NJ-- Red Bull New York announced today that Red Bull Arena will host its first International Friendly match on Saturday, May 22 as the national teams of Turkey and the Czech Republic will square off. Match time is slated for 12:30 PM ET.

"We continue our commitment to bring top-caliber soccer matches to Red Bull Arena," said Erik Stover, Red Bull New York Managing Director. "It's a great opportunity for us to host two top quality teams and for new people to see and experience Red Bull Arena."

"It will be a great match in a great atmosphere," said Vladimir Smicer, manager of the Czech national team and former star of Liverpool FC and the Czech National Team. "We want to bring a lot of fun and soccer duality to American soccer fans. There will be no absences in the Czech National Team, except serious injuries. With Cech, Baros, Rosicky and company, we are going to show a good game and reach a good result against Turkey - a very strong team. We would like revenge for elimination by Turkey at Euro 2008."

"We are excited to make a new match with Czech Republic once again," said Oguz Cetin, former captain of Turkish national team and currently head assistant coach of Turkey told that. "Lastly; our won against Czech National Team, opened the way of the semifinal in Euro 2008. Also with this opening match, thousands of Turkish people in USA, will meet Turkish stars. This will be historical meeting."

Tickets for the Turkey-Czech Republic match will go on sale exclusively for Red Bulls full season ticket holders on Wednesday, February 24 at 10 AM. They will have until Thursday, February 25 at 10 AM to purchase their current season ticket location. After that time, full season ticket holders can purchase additional seats ahead of the general public sale, which begins on Friday, February 26 at 10 AM. To take advantage of this pre-sale, full season ticket holders must call 1.877.RBSOCCER.
