The Red Bulls enter the match after going 1-1-0 in last week’s Barclays New York Football Challenge at Red Bull Arena against a pair of Premier League sides.

After dropping a 2-1 decision to Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night, the Red Bulls responded with a 2-1 victory of their own over Manchester City on Sunday.

Thierry Henry, the international soccer star who recently signed a multi-year contract as the Red Bulls second Designated Player, is scheduled to make his Major League Soccer debut in Houston on Saturday.

Henry debuted for the club Thursday against England's Tottenham Hotspur, and made an instant impact by scoring his first goal with the Red Bulls shirt.

In their last league match, the Red Bulls were defeated by the first place Columbus Crew, 2-0, at Crew Stadium on July 17.

The Dynamo has not picked up all three points in a league match since May 22 when they defeated D.C. United. Since then, the club has gone 0-4-3, with one of the losses coming at the hands of New York. On June 2, Juan Pablo Angel’s dramatic 93rd minute free kick goal stole all three points for the Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena.

All-time, the Red Bulls are 3-2-4 against the Dynamo, and have posted a 0-2-2 record at Robertson Stadium in the regular season.

New York Red Bulls win the Atlantic Cup for the first time since 2003

The New York Red Bulls extended their MLS unbeaten streak to five when they earned a 0-0 tie against D.C. United Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.

With the result, the second-place Red Bulls, who are now at 26 points with an 8-5-2 record, won the Atlantic Cup for the first time since 2003.

After the game, team captain Juan Pablo Angel received the Atlantic Cup trophy from the hands of members of the Garden State Supporters and the Empire Supporters Club.

The Atlantic Cup is the trophy awarded to the winner of the regular-season series between Major League Soccer rivals D.C. United and the New York Red Bulls.

D.C. United looked to get on the board six minutes in, with forward Santino Quaranta getting on the end of a flicked header and forcing New York goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul to parry his shot away. Five minutes later, Juan Pablo Angel nodded a deflected Joel Lindpere free kick past the left post and soon after, Salou Ibrahim turned and fired one just wide from 15 yards out.
