Locking horns: Goats and Bulls at the Home Depot Center

Chivas USA vs Red NYT Red BullsThe New York Red Bulls will complete a two-game road swing on Saturday, when they play Chivas USA at 4:00 p.m. at the Home Depot Center.

Chivas USA, under new head coach Martin Vasquez, have lost both games they've played so far this season and are in desperate need of three points than can help them turn this young season around.

On the other hand, the Red Bulls are off to a great start, with a solid defense posting two shutout wins and a winning attitude, the bulls will be looking for their third straight victory tomorrow afternoon at the Depot Center.

Coach Hans, Backe, who underwent surgery on Monday to remove his gallbladder (after being diagnosed with cholecystitis), is expected to be back on the sidelines for the game against Chivas.

New York is 3-3-4 all-time against Chivas USA and went 0-1-1 against its Western Conference rival in 2009, however, the bulls have never beaten Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center.

This will be an interesting match to watch.

Red Bulls Reader caught up with assistant coach Richie Williams, forward Macoumba Kandji and defender Mike Petke for their thoughts on this weekend’s game.
