Three European powerhouses visit Red Bull Arena

Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ / DailyHarrison.com ImagesThe Barclays New York Challenge kicks off tonight in Harrison, NJ when the host New York Red Bulls take on England's Tottenham Hotspur at 8:00 PM ET.

It will be the first time in the club history the Red Bulls will play a club from England’s Premier League.

International star Thierry Henry is scheduled to make his debut for the Red Bulls tonight.

The tournament continues throughout the weekend. On Friday, July 23, England’s Manchester City and Portugal’s Sporting Clube de Portugal square off at 8:00 PM ET. On Sunday, July 25, Tottenham Hospur FC faces Sporting Clube de Portugal and the New York Red Bulls face Manchester City. All matches will air live on Fox Soccer Channel.

Using the World Series of Football unique point system that encourages attacking play, the Challenge Winning Team will be the side with the most accumulative points scored from its two games. Points are scored as follows:

- Individual game winner – 3 points
- Drawn game – 1 point
- Goals scored – 1 point per goal

Manchester City FC (England) vs. Sporting Clube de Portgual (Portugal) on July 23 at 8:00 PM
Tottenham Hospur FC vs. Sporting Clube de Portugal on July 25 at 1:00 PM
Red Bulls vs. Manchester City FC on July 25 at 3:30 PM.

Tickets are available now for the Barclays New York Challenge at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ from July 22-25. The showcase event features English Premier League sides Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, Sporting Clube de Portugal and the host team, the New York Red Bulls.
