The Harrison Redevelopment Board met briefly yesterday to memorialize previous resolutions for Preliminary and Final Major Site Plan Applications from Russo-Advance.

As previously reported by the Newark Star Ledger and The Observer, on May 29th the board voted unanimously to approve the applications for a new one-story, 30-foot tall office building for Panasonic as well as a mixed use project consisting of 340 units of housing and 13,000 square feet of office space both to be built by Russo Development. The plans for Schuyler Crossing, another mixed-use project helmed by Russo-Advance in nearby Kearney (set for completion in Fall of 2012) offer Harrison residents a glimpse of what they could find in their own backyard in the near future.

The next Redevelopment Meeting is scheduled for July 11th at 7pm.

I hope you're wrong about that. Russo hasn't even started construction on the residential portion of Schuyler Crossing yet, even though they said they were going to over a year ago.

I remember how many great workers used to work and support their families on this property. I really hope this land gets good use.
